DO WE STILL NEED TO FOLLOW? .. EVEN TWITTER IS NO MORE.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT SESSIONS

This topic is a kind of follow up on the famous article and presentation from Ted Thompson during the iCoach 2013(?).

Since then the sport has developed further and the new question should be "Do we still need to follow?“ Adopting to a constantly changing environment is part of our sport, but is it still state of the art, actually was it ever needed? Is it even more like turning into unfair conditions?

This presentation is more aiming to be a discussion about what we as tournament and championship organizers, but also as coaches need to give the sport a fairer environment or playground.

We will talk about today’s bowling issues, needs and the root causes for issues during tournaments and championships to make a more fair environment for our athletes.

SVEN SAGER

Sven entered the bowling universe, today also know as the bowling bubble 31 years ago in the age of 6 where wooden lanes and manual score taking were the sate of the art.

Today he is member of the EBF educational and technical committee, technical delegate in Germany, Team Germany coach, technical director of a bowling center, tournament director, member of the Specto team, contractor for Bowltech, so he literally lives Bowling. He usually likes to stays more in the background, watching, analyzing. But if you ask for an opinion it’s guaranteed you will get an unadorned reply. Svens policy is, there are no stupid questions, since the best questions coming from outside the bubble. But there are very stupid answers like „we always did it that way“ and „we never did it that way“. So better be prepared with an answer that does not include one of these two sentences.
